How to save money on the business, medical and charitable use of the fuel for your vehicle

BUSINESS MEDICAL CHARITY MILEAGE LOG THE AUTHOR

I am Roger Chartier,
the author of this site.

I have a great interest in the Mileage Allowance as I use a lot of miles on my vehicle that are business related and I am a Sole Proprietor.

I find that because the van is paid for, I get about 21 MPG, and my cost to operate it is low.

This causes the Mileage Allowance or Standard Mileage Rate for business to be worthwhile.

So, as per this article, it can be seen that there are multiple ways that the IRS allows us to gain an advantage on using our vehicles for business.

Let me mention the two alternative methods that the IRS allows us, in certain cases, the use of our car, pickup truck or panel van to gain an advantage tax wise for our miles.

I have discussed those on some other sites, such as the Actual Expense method of deduction.

There is also the FAVR.cc website that is very informative about the Fixed And Variable Rate Plan.

The FAVR plan is used for a business, to pay their employees for the employee's vehicle use. They are those who use their car for work related business on a regular basis.
